Purify The Air You Breathe

Beeswax stands as the original candle wax, a timeless material cherished since ancient times for its unparalleled quality. Today, beeswax candles are celebrated as a true luxury, prized for being cleaner and longer-lasting than any other wax on the market. Notably, beeswax is the only candle wax that purifies the air as it burns. Unlike paraffin-based alternatives, these candles produce no soot while lit, and when extinguished, the wisps of smoke remain a clean, toxin-free white. At The Candle And Crate Company, we elevate this natural wonder by infusing our candles with premium-grade, all-natural essential oils from Majestic Pure, ensuring each piece delivers a sense of wellness at its core. While many companies produce candles, few prioritize the health of your home; we are proud to craft truly safe, breathable candles with your well-being in mind—all at an affordable price.

What Is Beeswax

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honey bees of the genus Apis. The wax is formed into scales by eight wax-producing glands in the abdominal segments of worker bees, which discard it in or at the hive. Therefore, the hive workers collect and use it to form cells for honey storage and larval and pupal protection within the beehive. Chemically, beeswax consists mainly of esters of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols.

Beeswax has been used since prehistory as the first plastic, as a lubricant and waterproofing agent. In addition, lost wax casting of metals and glass, as a polish for wood and leather, for making candles, as an ingredient in cosmetics and as an artistic medium in encaustic painting.

Beeswax is edible, having similarly negligible toxicity to plant waxes, and is approved for food use in most countries and in the European Union under the E number E901. However, due to its inability to be broken down by the human digestive system, it has insignificant nutritional value.
